A Regional Economic Development Initiative
IMPACT 20/20 began late 2008 with a grant from Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. The initiative is guided by a team of seasoned executives who have come together from across sectors to grow the economy of Northwest Minnesota.
The group has identified four areas that are crucial components of the regional economy:
- workforce
- education
- broadband
- housing
Task forces have been formed for each of the focus areas and are actively pursuing goals that will move the region’s economy forward.
Landsverk and Associates served as project coordinator from 2008 until early 2016, helping the group to move from its formative stage to the point where it is now: a strong, broad-based, sustainable regional partnership.
Your steady leadership, strong facilitation skills and knowledge of the region have really helped these projects (IDEA Competition and IMPACT 20/20) to get a strong foothold in the region. You have brought so much more than we hired you for. Your ability to organize and shepherd the diverse partners and parties in these projects has been appreciated.
